Protaras and Ayia Napa offer the best sandy beaches on the island, making the area a summer holiday paradise. The large variety of restaurants in both resorts, offers too many options to choose from. You can find any cuisine: local, italian, greek, chinese, indian, lebanese and lots of take away options. If you want to party all night, Ayia Napa is one of the best clubbing destinations in the Mediterranean Sea and is just a 15 minutes drive from Protaras. We have gathered the must visit beaches in both resorts. There are many smaller ones, which can be seen on the map at the bottom of this page.

A beautiful, peaceful, clean sandy beach amazing for snorkelling, away from built up tourist areas. Sun beds and parasols are available and very reasonably priced and the Triniti Chapel, with it’s white and blue lights in the evening, makes it a perfect place for romance!

KONNOS BAY BEACH

Agreed by many, the most picturesque beach in Protaras Area is Konnos Bay Beach. Situated in a small cove, this beach, surrounded by trees and rocks, is an idyllic place, perfect for swimming and sunbathing. And although it is always packed, it is worth checking it out.

A stunning Bay location, a hidden gem, with a small beach and Sirena Beach Bar & Restaurant for your drinks and snacks, set in a beautiful picturesque authentic Cypriot location. The waters are crystal clear and during weekdays the beach is not crowded. It is very popular with the locals, so expect a lot of guests during weekends.

One of the longest and busiest beaches in Protaras, with a white-golden sand and crystal clear blue waters. There are numerous Hotels, Restaurants, Kiosks along the coast and all kinds of Water Sports.

One of the most beautiful sandy beaches on the island, Fig Tree Bay Beach is the most popular beach in Protaras. It is situated in the centre of Protaras, with Fish Taverns, Restaurants, Beach Bars and Kiosks around.

NISSI BAY BEACH

The breath-taking Nissi Beach is the most popular beach on the island. Its name, Nissi means island in Greek, comes from a small islet right in front of the beach. Its pristine turquoise waters and golden sand are truly amazing. During the day Nissi Beach is packed with people, sunbathing, swimming or even dancing in one of its buzzing beach bars.

Probably the best sandy beach on the island, streching 2 km, from the harbour of Ayia Napa to Grecian Sands Hotel. There are numerous Hotels, Restaurants, Kiosks and the picturesque harbour surrounded by Fish Taverns.

MAKRONISSOS BEACH

Makronisos Beach is a golden sandy beach, at the western edge of Ayia Napa, flanked by two smaller bays and is considered one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. The beach attracts a mixture of locals and tourists and is vey busy during the Summer. You can find Hotels, Restaurants and Kiosks around.

Vathia Gonia or Sandy Bay Beach is a small bay with golden sand, perfect for relaxing at the beach. There are various hotels, a restaurant on the left side and a kiosk on the right side.
